NBA: Orlando mit Wagner-Brüdern beendet Pleiten-Serie
Nach neun Pleiten in Folge konnte Orlando Magic mit den beiden deutschen Basketball-Profis Franz und Moritz Wagner wieder ein Spiel in der nordamerikanischen NBA gewinnen. Die Mannschaft aus Florida gewann mit 116:111 nach Verlängerung gegen die Los Angeles Clippers.
Moritz Wagner erzielte 20 Punkte, 13 Rebounds und drei Assists, sein Bruder Franz kam auf 15 Zähler, sechs Rebounds und einen Assist.
Die Los Angeles Lakers mit DBB-Kapitän Dennis Schröder unterlagen 113:126 bei den Toronto Raptors. Der Braunschweiger Schröder war mit 18 Punkte, fünf Rebounds und drei Assists erfolgreichster Spieler aufseiten der Gäste. Es war die zweite Niederlage in Folge für die Lakers, die in der Pacific Division nur den fünften und letzten Platz einnehmen. Orlando ist in der Southeast Division ebenfalls abgeschlagen Fünfter und Letzter.
Die New York Knicks mit dem deutschen Spieler Isaiah Hartenstein setzte sich 113:89 gegen die Atlanta Hawks durch. Hartenstein erzielte vier Punkte, fünf Rebounds und zwei Assists. Die Knicks erreichte auch den zweiten Sieg in Folge, belegen aber in der Atlantic Division den fünften und letzten Rang.
