Formel 1: Verstappens Heimrennen bis 2025 gesichert
Das Formel-1-Heimrennen von Weltmeister Max Verstappen (25) in den Niederlanden ist bis mindestens 2025 gesichert. Die Vertragsverlängerung der Strecke in Zandvoort mit der Königsklasse wurde am Donnerstag bekannt gegeben. Der bisherige Kontrakt wäre nach dem Rennen in der nächsten Saison ausgelaufen. Der Große Preis der Niederlande war nach einer Pause von mehr als 35 Jahren erst 2021 in den Kalender zurückgekehrt.
"Die ausverkauften Veranstaltungen in den beiden vergangenen Jahren haben die Latte in Sachen Organisation, Unterhaltung und Nachhaltigkeit höher gelegt", sagte Formel-1-Boss Stefano Domenicali und bezeichnete das Rennen als einen der "Favoriten der Fans".
