Tour de Ski: Starke Hennig stürmt auf Rang sechs
Langlauf-Olympiasiegerin Katharina Hennig ist im ersten Distanzrennen der Tour de Ski eine starke Aufholjagd gelungen. Die Sächsin lief im Verfolger über zehn Kilometer von Rang 26 bis auf den sechsten Platz nach vorne und unterstrich nach überstandener Erkältung ihre Topform. Die Führung nach zwei von sieben Etappen übernahm die Norwegerin Tiril Udnes Weng.
Hennig hatte sich im Sprint am Samstag einen Rückstand von mehr als einer Minute eingehandelt, machte auf ihrer Paradestrecke im klassischen Stil aber viel Boden gut. Die 26-Jährige überholte unter anderem ihre Teamkolleginnen Laura Gimmler und Sofie Krehl, die am Samstag in den Top Ten gelandet waren. Gimmler kam als Elfte ins Ziel, Krehl löste als 15. das Ticket für die im Februar beginnende WM in Planica.
Hennig war bei den vergangenen drei Tour-Ausgaben als zweimal Achte und einmal Neunte immer beste Deutsche gewesen, nun will sie ihr Ergebnis noch einmal toppen. Im Ziel betrug ihr Rückstand auf Weng, die auch im Gesamtweltcup führt, am Sonntag 41,9 Sekunden.
Nach einem Ruhetag wird die Tour am Dienstag in Oberstdorf mit einem erneuten Distanzrennen über zehn Kilometer fortgesetzt, dann aber mit Einzelstarts. Auch dort dürfte Hennig, die in diesem Winter schon zweimal auf dem Podest stand, gute Chancen haben.
