Die Basketball-Nationalspieler Franz und Moritz Wagner verlieren mit Orlando Magic im Play-off-Rennen der NBA immer mehr den Anschluss. Das Team der Berliner Brüder unterlag dem Spitzenteam Philadelphia 76ers mit 94:105 und kassierte die dritte Niederlage in den vergangenen vier Partien.
Franz Wagner kam dabei auf 13 Punkte und vier Rebounds, sein von der Bank kommender Bruder Moritz auf sechs Zähler und zwei Rebounds. Für Philadelphia war Joel Embiid mit einem Double-Double von 28 Punkten und elf Rebounds der Matchwinner. Die Magic liegen auf Rang 13 der Eastern Conference bereits vier Siege hinter den Plätzen fürs Play-In-Turnier.
Spitzenreiter Boston Celtics feierte mit dem 139:96 gegen die Brooklyn Nets einen Kantersieg, Superstar Jason Tatum glänzte dabei mit 31 Punkten.
