Union verlängert mit Stürmer Behrens
Fußball-Bundesligist Union Berlin hat Stürmer Kevin Behrens über die laufende Saison hinaus an sich gebunden. Das teilten die Eisernen einen Tag nach dem 2:1 (1:0)-Sieg gegen den FSV Mainz 05 mit, bei dem Behrens das 1:0 erzielt hatte. Der 32-Jährige war im Sommer 2021 vom SV Sandhausen nach Berlin gewechselt und kommt in der laufenden Saison auf acht Scorerpunkte.
"Kevins Verlängerung ist aufgrund seiner Leistungen und Einstellung folgerichtig. Wir freuen uns sehr darüber, dass er uns auch zukünftig mit seiner körperlichen Robustheit und Kopfballstärke helfen wird", sagte Geschäftsführer Oliver Ruhnert.
Die genaue Vertragslaufzeit gaben die Köpenicker, die am Samstag den fünften Pflichtspielsieg in Folge gefeiert hatten, nicht bekannt.
