Bochums Schlotterbeck: "Warum nicht den BVB schlagen?"
Keven Schlotterbeck (25) traut dem VfL Bochum im DFB-Pokalspiel gegen Borussia Dortmund, wo sein zwei Jahre jüngerer Bruder und Nationalspieler Nico Schlotterbeck unter Vertrag steht, eine Überraschung zu. "Warum nicht den BVB schlagen, wenn man schon mal so weit ist", fragte der VfL-Verteidiger vor dem Achtelfinale am Mittwoch (20.45 Uhr/ZDF und Sky) im Sky-Interview.
Mit dem Heimvorteil und den "atemberaubenden" Fans im Rücken würde es im kompakten Ruhrstadion für jeden Gegner schwer. "Wir haben zu Hause die Eigenschaft, jeden schlagen zu können", sagte Keven Schlotterbeck, er freue sich mit der Mannschaft auf ein "geiles Spiel".
Wenn es tatsächlich zum Duell mit seinem "kleinen Bruder" Nico käme, könnte der regelmäßige Austausch zwischen den "gestandenen Bundesligaspielern" entscheidend werden, glaubt der Defensivspieler: "Natürlich versucht man, sich ein bisschen anzustacheln, damit man das Maximale aus sich herausholt."
