Ski-WM: Pinturault gewinnt Kombi - Jocher verpasst Top 10
Der Franzose Alexis Pinturault hat bei den 47. alpinen Ski-Weltmeisterschaften in Courchevel das erhoffte Gold in der Kombination gewonnen. Der 31 Jahre alte Weltmeister von 2019 und Zweite von 2021 profitierte vor eigenem Publikum von einem Patzer seines Hauptkonkurrenten Marco Schwarz im Slalom. Für den Titelverteidiger aus Österreich reichte es noch zu Silber (+0,10 Sekunden), Bronze gewann dessen Landsmann Raphael Haaser (+0,44).
Simon Jocher aus Garmisch, vor zwei Jahren in Cortina d'Ampezzo starker Fünfter, kam nach einer langen Verletzungspause als Folge eines schweren Sturzes Ende November in Beaver Creek/USA auf Rang 13 (+5,50). Den Slalom habe er "verhaut", gab Jocher im ZDF zu. Dennoch hatte er ein Lächeln im Gesicht, "weil es der erste Tag war, an dem ich mich wieder an der Weltspitze gesehen habe".
Romed Baumann (Kiefersfelden) und Andres Sander (Ennepetal) nutzten den Super-G am Vormittag wie die Stars Marco Odermatt (Schweiz) und Aleksander Aamodt Kilde (Norwegen) zu Trainingszwecken. Den Slalom-Lauf am Nachmittag ließen sie alle aus.
Pinturault nahm als Schnellster des Super-G nur 0,06 Sekunden Vorsprung mit. Schwarz holte wie vor zwei Jahren schnell auf, verschenkte den Sieg aber kurz vor dem Ziel durch einen schweren Fehler. Olympiasieger Johannes Strolz aus Österreich verspielte seine Chancen bereits durch einen schwachen Super-G und schied im Slalom aus.
