Nach dem Wechsel von Michael Rechner von der TSG Hoffenheim zum deutschen Fußball-Rekordmeister Bayern München muss sich der türkische Nationaltrainer Stefan Kuntz einen neuen Torwarttrainer suchen. "Man muss Danke an die TSG Hoffenheim sagen, denn der Klub hat das immer sehr unbürokratisch gemacht. Nach dem Wechsel zum FC Bayern geht das aber nicht mehr", sagte Kuntz dem RedaktionsNetzwerk Deutschland.
Rechner tritt in München die Nachfolge von Toni Tapalovic an. "Er hat die Torhüter super vorbereitet auf die Spiele, macht sehr detaillierte Einzelanalysen. Der türkische Fußballverband ist dankbar. Denn Michael hat gezeigt, dass wir den Besten mitgebracht haben. Auf der anderen Seite sind wir auch ein bisschen traurig, dass wir ihn verlieren", sagte Kuntz.
