Muskelfaserriss: DFB-Elf ohne Musiala
Die deutsche Fußball-Nationalmannschaft muss bei ihrem Neustart auf Jamal Musiala verzichten. Der Profi von Bayern München hat im Bundesliga-Spiel bei Bayer Leverkusen (1:2) einen Muskelfaserriss im Oberschenkel erlitten und ist bereits aus dem DFB-Quartier in Frankfurt/Main abgereist. Das teilte Bundestrainer Hansi Flick am Montag mit.
"Wir alle haben gehofft, dass Jamal fit ist, weil er einzigartige Qualität hat. Deswegen ist es schade für alle, dass er nicht dabei ist", sagte Flick: "Wir wünschen ihm, dass er so schnell wie möglich wieder fit ist und nach den Länderspielen wieder spielen kann."
Flick wird keinen Spieler nachnominieren, ihm stehen damit noch 23 Spieler zur Verfügung, darunter sind sechs Neulinge. Die DFB-Auswahl trifft am Samstag (20.45 Uhr/ZDF) in Mainz auf Peru. Drei Tage später ist in Köln Belgien der nächste Gegner.
