Historische Chance für Geschlechter-Gleichberechtigung
Die deutsche Fußball-Nationaltorhüterin Almuth Schult sieht eine historische Chance zur Gleichberechtigung der Geschlechter im Sport. "Wir haben jetzt das Momentum. Man kann tatsächlich Respekt bekommen, den es lange Zeit nicht gab", sagte die Olympiasiegerin von 2016, die beim Angel City FC in den USA spielt: "Nicht nur in unserer Sportart, sondern in allen Frauensportarten."
Gleichberechtigung, so Schult, müsse im Sport "von klein auf" geschaffen werden, um letztlich eine Parität in der Förderung zu erreichen. Der Weg allerdings sei noch weit. "Wir haben leider das Problem, dass die Positionen der Entscheidungsträger durch Männer besetzt sind, die noch mit der Ansicht aufgewachsen sind, dass die Frauen zu Hause bleiben und sich um die Familie kümmern", sagte die 32-Jährige im DAZN-Format "Unfiltered".
Die Gesellschaft sei daher "noch ganz am Anfang, weil sich in den letzten Jahren nie auf die Frau im Sport konzentriert worden ist".
