DFB bestätigt: Nationalelf spielt mit Deutschland-Binde
Die Fußball-Nationalmannschaft spielt auf dem Weg zur Heim-EM 2024 wieder mit einer Kapitänsbinde in Deutschland-Farben. Das bestätigte der Deutsche Fußball-Bund (DFB) auf SID-Anfrage. Zuerst hatte die Bild-Zeitung darüber berichtet.
Die DFB-Auswahl folgt damit einem Vorschlag des neuen Nationalmannschaftsdirektors Rudi Völler, der nach dem WM-Theater um die "One Love"-Binde eine Abkehr von dem viel diskutierten Stück Stoff empfohlen hatte. "Aus dem Bauch heraus würde ich sagen: Wir sollten mit einer Kapitänsbinde in den Deutschland-Farben auflaufen", sagte Völler der Sport Bild.
Ersatzkapitän Joshua Kimmich wird die neue, alte Binde erstmals am Samstag (20.45 Uhr/ZDF) in Mainz gegen Peru tragen. Sie bleibt bis zur EURO am Arm des jeweiligen Spielführers. Beim Turnier soll dann die von der Europäischen Fußball-Union (UEFA) vorgegebene Binde getragen werden.
Die Rückkehr zu Schwarz-Rot-Gold bedeutet auch eine Absage an die Regenbogenbinde, die Kapitän Manuel Neuer schon getragen hat. Auch DFB-Spielführerin Alexandra Popp läuft aktuell mit ihr auf.
Mit dem neuen, alten Stück Stoff "würde man alles ein bisschen beruhigen", glaubt Völler: "Ich verstehe zwar, dass man ab und zu ein Zeichen setzen muss. Aber jetzt geht es wieder um Fußball."
