Handball: Hanning schreibt Meisterschaft der Füchse ab
Der frühere DHB-Vizepräsident Bob Hanning hat die Meisterschaft für die Füchse Berlin in der Handball-Bundesliga abgeschrieben. "Was sie nicht mehr machen, ist Meister werden", sagte Hanning, Geschäftsführer der Füchse, am Rande des Zweitligaspiels zwischen Motor Saporischschja und dem VfL Potsdam: "Das haben wir völlig dämlich aus der Hand gegeben mit dem Spiel in Stuttgart. Das tat schon weh." Berlin hatte beim TVB Stuttgart überraschend mit 28:32 verloren.
Danach, so Hanning, "haben wir ein tolles Spiel gegen Flensburg geliefert, da haben wir unseren Job gemacht, den wir besser in Stuttgart auch gemacht hätten." Gegen Flensburg hatte Berlin mit 37:33 gewonnen und damit den Titelhoffnungen des Rivalen einen empfindlichen Dämpfer verpasst. Für die Füchse geht es laut Hanning "jetzt noch um Platz zwei in der Liga und um das Thema Champions League".
