Gladbacher Führungsspieler stärken Farke
Die Führungsspieler von Borussia Mönchengladbach stärken ihrem angeschlagenen Trainer Daniel Farke demonstrativ den Rücken. "Wir stehen hinter dem Trainer, er hat uns gut eingestellt. Wir haben das nur nicht diszipliniert umgesetzt", sagte Mittelfeldspieler Julian Weigl am Samstag nach dem 2:5 (0:4) bei Borussia Dortmund: "Da müssen wir uns an die eigene Nase fassen."
Nationalspieler Jonas Hofmann versicherte ebenfalls, Farke stelle die Mannschaft durchaus gut ein. "Aber es stehen elf Spieler auf dem Platz, und die haben den Plan des Trainers nicht gut umgesetzt. Da kann er dann auch wenig für."
In den ersten 30 Minuten, kritisierte Hofmann, habe seine Mannschaft sich bis zum Dortmunder 4:0 "abschlachten lassen, das hatte von vorne bis hinten wenig mit Fußball zu tun. Wir haben sie eingeladen." Es seien zwar noch zwei Tore gelungen, "aber das war nur, um das Ergebnis ein bisschen zu verschönern".
Auch Julian Weigl zufolge hatte Gladbach "in der ersten Halbzeit alles vermissen" lassen. "Damit sind wir sehr, sehr unzufrieden", sagte er, "das war ein Auftritt, wie er nicht sein darf: schon ein bisschen beschämend."
Farke selbst zeigte sich enttäuscht und fassungslos über die Vorstellung bis zum Seitenwechsel. Auf die Frage, ob er sich Sorgen um den Rückhalt der Führungsebene mache, antwortete er ausweichend, dass er sich "darüber keine Gedanken" mache.
