RB Leipzig ist auf dem besten Weg in die Champions League - und kann auch im Meisterschaftskampf noch zum Zünglein an der Waage werden. "Dass ich einer Menge Leute in Dortmund den Titel gönne, ist auch richtig. Aber am Ende des Tages geht es um uns", sagte Trainer Marco Rose nach dem furiosen 2:1-Comeback-Sieg gegen Werder Bremen am Sonntag bei DAZN.
Am kommenden Samstag (18.30 Uhr/Sky) treten die Sachsen zum Showdown bei Tabellenführer Bayern München an, ein Sieg würde die Teilnahme an der Königsklasse für die kommende Saison sichern - und dem BVB im Kampf um den Bundesliga-Thron mächtig Schützenhilfe geben. "Du kannst dich darauf jetzt freuen, weil wir zwei sehr gute Wochen hatten", sagte Sportdirektor Max Eberl, ihm sei bewusst, "dass wir durch eigene Siege andere gefährden können".
Außenverteidiger Benjamin Henrichs ist es dabei "egal", wer am Ende Meister wird: "Wenn wir gewinnen, liegt es an Dortmund." RB rangiert nach dem Heimsieg, den Willi Orban (87.) und Dominik Szoboszlai (90.+6) spät besorgt hatten, mit vier Zählern Vorsprung auf den fünftplatzierten SC Freiburg auf Platz drei.
"Wir machen erstmal einen Tag frei, und dann bereiten wir uns auf Bayern vor. In München ist es nie einfach", sagte Matchwinner Szoboszlai: "Aber wir sind bereit und werden alles probieren."
