Eishockey-WM: Erster Sieg für DEB-Team
Mit dem ersten Sieg im vierten WM-Spiel hat die deutsche Eishockey-Nationalmannschaft ihre Chance auf das Viertelfinale gewahrt. Das Team von Bundestrainer Harold Kreis bezwang Dänemark mit 6:4 (0:1, 3:1, 3:2) und verbuchte seine ersten drei Punkte in der Vorrundengruppe A. Die Auswahl des Deutschen Eishockey-Bundes (DEB) muss voraussichtlich auch die restlichen Partien gegen Österreich, Ungarn und Frankreich gewinnen, um in die K.o.-Runde einzuziehen.
NHL-Stürmer John-Jason Peterka (30.), Alexander Ehl (32.), Kapitän Moritz Müller (38.), Jonas Müller (56.), Marcel Noebels (59.) und Nico Sturm (60.) erzielten vor 3954 Zuschauern in Tampere die Tore für das Kreis-Team, das mit knappen Niederlagen gegen die Medaillenkandidaten Schweden (0:1), Finnland (3:4) und USA (2:3) in das Turnier gestartet war.
