Handball: Kiel kommt Titel immer näher
Handball-Rekordchampion THW Kiel ist der 23. Meisterschaft einen weiteren Schritt näher gekommen. Beim Bergischen HC gelang der Mannschaft von Trainer Filip Jicha ein mühevoller 29:26 (13:14)-Sieg. Damit beträgt der Vorsprung auf den Tabellenzweiten Magdeburg bei noch zwei ausstehenden Spielen weiterhin zwei Punkte.
Kiel wirkte zunächst extrem nervös und kam überhaupt nicht ins Spiel. Erst in der sechsten Minute erzielte der THW seinen ersten Treffer. Auch der Tabellenelfte zeigte in der Offensive einige Nachlässigkeiten, ging aber trotzdem mit einer knappen Führung in die Pause.
Angeführt von Domagoj Duvnjak, der mit fünf Toren bester Werfer beim THW war, stabilisierte Kiel sich im zweiten Durchgang. Stück für Stück zog der Tabellenführer davon und fuhr einen letztendlich ungefährdeten Sieg ein.
