Messi zurück zu Barcelona? Vater "würde es lieben"
Fußball-Superstar Lionel Messi würde laut seinem Vater und Berater gerne zum FC Barcelona zurückkehren. "Ich weiß noch nichts", sagte Jorge Messi in einem von spanischen Medien verbreiteten Video, in dem er von mehreren Journalisten bedrängt wurde. Auf die Frage, ob Barca die bevorzugte Option seines Sohnes sei, antwortete Messi Senior: "Ja."
Er selbst würde "es lieben", wenn der argentinische Weltmeister zu den Katalanen zurückkehren würde, sagte Jorge Messi. Gleichzeitig wies er darauf hin, dass eine mögliche Rückkehr von "sehr vielen Dingen" abhänge. Ein Gespräch mit Barca-Präsident Joan Laporta bestätigte Jorge Messi, dabei sei allerdings "nichts Konkretes" herausgekommen.
Am Samstag hatte Messi sein letztes Spiel für Paris St. Germain bestritten, 2021 hatte er sich dem französischen Meister nach einem tränenreichen Abschied aus Barcelona angeschlossen.
Am Sonntag sollen hochrangige Vertreter des saudischen Vereins Al-Hilal in Paris gewesen sein, um Messi ein Angebot zu unterbreiten, wie die Nachrichtenagentur AFP aus zwei den Gesprächen nahestehenden Quellen erfuhr. Laut Medien soll auch Inter Miami Interesse bekundet haben. Barca habe Berichten zufolge aufgrund der wirtschaftlichen Lage noch kein formelles Angebot unterbreitet.
