Frankfurt hofft auf Lindström-Einsatz gegen Sevilla
Eintracht Frankfurt hofft im Achtelfinal-Rückspiel der Europa League gegen Betis Sevilla wieder auf einen Einsatz des Offensivspielers Jesper Lindström. Der Däne habe eine "leichte Bänderdehnung" beim 2:1 (0:1) in der Fußball-Bundesliga gegen den VfL Bochum erlitten, sagte Trainer Oliver Glasner.
Lindström war Mitte der zweiten Halbzeit nach einem Kopfballduell umgeknickt, nur wenig später wurde er in der 72. Minute ausgewechselt. Der 22-Jährige sei "unglücklich gelandet". Der Knöchel sei "ein bisschen dick, aber nicht sehr dick", sagte Glasner: "Deshalb hoffen wir alle, dass es nicht so schlimm ist."
Das Hinspiel in Sevilla hatte die Eintracht mit 2:1 gewonnen. Am Donnerstag (21.00 Uhr/RTL) wollen die Hessen den Schritt ins Viertelfinale machen. "Wir freuen uns riesig, dass wir mit dem nächsten Erfolgserlebnis in das Rückspiel gegen Betis Sevilla gehen", sagte Glasner am Sonntag nach dem Sieg gegen Bochum.
