Nagelsmann lässt Tür für Goretzka und Co. etwas offen
Bundestrainer Julian Nagelsmann hat trotz der Siege in Frankreich und gegen die Niederlande Leon Goretzka und Co. leise Hoffnungen auf die Heim-EM gemacht. "Die Tür ist für alle offen", sagte Nagelsmann nach dem 2:1 (1:1) der deutschen Fußball-Nationalmannschaft in Frankfurt/Main gegen die Niederlande bei RTL.
Der 36-Jährige erklärte aber auch, dass es für das Turnier (14. Juni bis 14. Juli) "nicht mehr viele Änderungen" geben werde: "Wer jetzt nicht dabei war, muss Vollgas geben - und besser sein als diejenigen, die dabei sind. Wir werden auf jeden Fall nicht zehn oder fünf Spieler tauschen im Sommer, das steht außer Frage. Vielleicht ein oder zwei, wenn sich keiner verletzt."
Seinen 23er-Kader wird er nach dem letzten Bundesliga-Spieltag am 18. Mai benennen. Bis dahin sei "jeder gefordert, alles zu geben". Nagelsmann wies darauf hin, dass auch Verletzungen noch Auswirkungen auf das Aufgebot haben könnten.
Das Trainingslager vor dem Turnier findet in Thüringen (26. bis 31. Mai) statt. Die EM-Generalprobe erfolgt am 7. Juni in Mönchengladbach gegen Griechenland.
