Eberl vor BVB-Duell: "Spiel bleibt elektrisierend"
Trotz der etwas anderen Ausgangslage hat Bayern Münchens Sportvorstand Max Eberl die Wichtigkeit des Bundesliga-Klassikers gegen Borussia Dortmund unterstrichen. "Es geht für beide Teams um viel, dieses Mal nicht um die Meisterschaft", sagte Eberl vor dem Duell gegen den ewigen Rivalen am Samstag (18.30 Uhr/Sky) im Sky-Interview: "Trotzdem bleibt das Spiel elektrisierend."
Die Bayern gegen den BVB - normalerweise rückt dabei der Kampf um die Tabellenführung in den Fokus. Doch dank der Überflieger aus Leverkusen stehen erstmals seit Februar 2010 weder der Rekordmeister noch Dortmund im direkten Rückrunden-Duell auf Platz eins. Dennoch gehen beide Mannschaften ambitioniert in die Begegnung. "Bayern möchte den Druck auf Leverkusen hochhalten, möchte im Rückspiegel immer wieder ersichtlich sein. Für Borussia Dortmund geht es um die Champions League", sagte Eberl.
Den Glauben an den nächsten Münchner Titel hat Eberl dabei aber noch nicht aufgegeben, auch wenn der Rückstand von zehn Punkten auf die Konkurrenz groß ist. "Wenn ich das nicht tun würde, dann wäre ich fehl am Platz", so der Sportvorstand, der aber auch betonte: "Wir können nur unseren Part tun: Den Druck hochhalten und Spiele gewinnen."
