Alle sechs: Nicolas Kiefer schafft auch Boston-Marathon
Der ehemalige Tennisprofi Nicolas Kiefer hat auch den Boston-Marathon geschafft und damit alle sechs World Marathon Majors absolviert. Der 46-Jährige, der 2004 Olympia-Silber im Doppel gewonnen hatte, lief die 42,195 Kilometer mit der Startnummer 2004 in 3:59:25 Stunden und belegte Platz 15.107.
Kiefer hatte zuvor bereits in Berlin, Chicago, London, New York und Tokio den Marathon absolviert und darf sich nun "Six Star Finisher" nennen. Die entprechende Medaille haben bereits mehr als 15.000 Läuferinnen und Läufer erhalten, darunter bislang 569 aus Deutschland.
Bei Instagram hatte Kiefer vor dem Rennen vom "größten Tag meiner Läuferkarriere" geschrieben, in 13 Wochen Training habe er mehr als 330 Kilometer absolviert.
