Handball: DHB-Teams blicken gespannt auf Olympia-Auslosung
Der Deutsche Handballbund (DHB) blickt am Dienstag gespannt nach Paris: In der französischen Hauptstadt wird ab 17.30 Uhr das olympische Handball-Turnier ausgelost. Erstmals seit 2008 ist der DHB sowohl mit der Männer-Mannschaft als auch dem Frauen-Team bei Olympia vertreten. Ziel ist zunächst das Erreichen des Viertelfinals.
Sowohl für die Männer von Bundestrainer Alfred Gislason als auch die Frauen gelte, "dass wir nach den fünf Spielen in Paris nicht nach Hause fahren wollen", sagte DHB-Sportvorstand Axel Kromer am Wochenende nach der geglückten Qualifikations des Frauen-Teams von Bundestrainer Markus Gaugisch in Neu-Ulm. Im März hatten sich die Männer in Hannover das Ticket für das olympische Turnier vom 25. Juli bis 11. August gesichert.
Gislasons Team in Topf 3 kann nicht auf Ungarn treffen, die deutschen Frauen wurden in Topf 2 gesetzt und gehen in der Vorrunde damit den Niederlanden aus dem Weg. Die jeweils fünf Vorrundenpartien jeder Nation finden in Paris statt, die Finalrunde wird in Lille ausgetragen. - Die Töpfe der Auslosung in der Übersicht:
