Eishockey-WM: Stützle sagt ab - Peterka kommt
Vize-Weltmeister Deutschland muss bei der Eishockey-WM in Tschechien auf NHL-Stürmer Tim Stützle verzichten, dafür ist John-Jason Peterka wieder mit dabei. Stützle sagte am Donnerstag seine Teilnahme an dem Turnier in Prag und Ostrava (10. bis 26. Mai) ab. Er habe schon länger Probleme mit der Schulter, sagte Stützle bei der Saisonabschlusspressekonferenz der Ottawa Senators. Er wolle die Verletzung im Sommer auskurieren.
Peterka kündigte dageben bei den Buffalo Sabres an, dass er für die WM zur Verfügung steht. Dem gebürtigen Münchner, beim Silber-Coup im vergangenen Jahr bester Stürmer, ist in seiner dritten NHL-Saison der Durchbruch gelungen.
Stützle hatte bereits bei der WM in Finnland und Lettland wegen einer Handverletzung gefehlt. 2022 hatte er sich eine Knieverletzung zugezogen und durfte auf Anweisung seines NHL-Arbeitgebers nicht mehr eingesetzt werden.
