Tuchel über Doppelpacker Müller: "Form war nicht gut"
Seinen Trainer konnte Thomas Müller auch mit einem Doppelpack nicht wirklich überzeugen. "Die Tore waren absolut top, aber die Form war nicht gut", sagte Thomas Tuchel nach dem überzeugenden 5:1 (2:0)-Erfolg von Fußball-Rekordmeister Bayern München bei Union Berlin über den zweifachen Torschützen - der laut Tuchel trotz seiner Treffer zum 3:0 und 5:0 "in dieser Form" kein Kandidat für einen Einsatz im Champions-League-Halbfinale gegen Real Madrid sei.
180 Minuten saß Müller in den Viertelfinalspielen der Königsklasse gegen den FC Arsenal auf der Bank, in Berlin durfte der Nationalspieler über die volle Distanz mitwirken. "Er hat das Spiel genauso gesehen. Wir wissen, was er kann", so Tuchel.
Müller hatte auch einen Anteil am Führungstreffer der Münchner, als er den Ball clever für Leon Goretzka passieren ließ - ansonsten war beim Münchner Urgestein aber noch deutlich Luft nach oben. "Die Tore waren super, aber es waren auch viele Ballverluste dabei", gab Müller zu, der sich in Hinblick auf den Kracher gegen Real in eineinhalb Wochen weiter empfehlen will: "Wir sind ja hier nicht im Streichelzoo", so der 34-Jährige: "Wir Spieler sind jederzeit dazu eingeladen, in allen Minuten, die wir auf dem Trainingsplatz oder Spielfeld stehen, uns so zu präsentieren, dass er (Tuchel, d. Red.) an einem nicht vorbeikommt."
