Eishockey-Fan Nagelsmann bewundert NHL-Superstar Draisaitl
Ungeahnte Talente und anerkennende Worte vom Bundestrainer: Julian Nagelsmann hat seine Bewunderung für Eishockey-Superstar Leon Draisaitl geäußert und dazu seine Liebe zu dem Sport bekannt. "Das sind sehr mutige Schritte, die du als Sportler machst, nach Kanada zu gehen und dann so eine prägende Rolle in der besten Eishockey-Liga der Welt zu spielen", sagte Nagelsmann im Talk-Format "Bestbesetzung" bei MagentaTV über Draisaitl (28).
Der deutsche Profi der Edmonton Oilers gehört zu den Top-Spielern der nordamerikanischen Profi-Liga NHL, 2020 wurde er als wertvollster Spieler (MVP) ausgezeichnet. Aktuell spielt der Angreifer mit den Oilers in den Play-offs um seinen ersten Stanley-Cup-Sieg. Draisaitls Karriereweg würdigte Nagelsmann, der neben Fußball auch großer Fan anderer Sportarten wie American Football und eben Eishockey ist, als "eine sehr gute Leistung".
Zudem erzählte der 36-Jährige von seinen eigenen Erfahrungen auf dem Eis. Er sei nicht nur "nach wie vor großer Eishockey-Fan", sondern "spiele es auch ab und zu noch. Leider einen Tick zu wenig dafür, wie viel Spaß es mir macht." Bei seinem Leistungsniveau ist Nagelsmann selbstkritisch: "Früher war ich ganz gut, heute ist es eher OK."
