Kiel patzt im Aufstiegsrennen
Holstein Kiel hat im Aufstiegsrennen der 2. Fußball-Bundesliga gepatzt. Die Mannschaft von Trainer Marcel Rapp unterlag dem abstiegsbedrohten 1. FC Kaiserslautern überraschend 1:3 (1:2) und gab die Tabellenführung an den FC St. Pauli ab. Fortuna Düsseldorf kann den Rückstand auf Kiel am Samstagabend auf drei Punkte verkürzen.
Nach zuletzt sechs Siegen ohne Gegentor gelang Alexander Bernhardsson (25.) nur der zwischenzeitliche Ausgleich für Holstein. Daniel Hanslik (13.), Filip Kaloc (45.+4) und Marlon Ritter (83.) sorgten mit ihren Treffern für den ersten Sieg der Gäste nach zuletzt fünf Spielen ohne Erfolgserlebnis. Das Team von Coach Friedhelm Funkel verließ die Abstiegsplätze.
Der Außenseiter begann vor 15.034 Zuschauern mutig und belohnte sich schnell. Hanslik köpfte eine Ecke von Tymoteusz Puchacz ein. Es war der erste Gegentreffer der Gastgeber seit der Begegnung bei Hertha BSC am 1. März.
Kiel fand ohne den gesperrten Lewis Holtby nur schwer ins Spiel, glich nach einem Konter durch Bernhardsson dennoch aus. Kaiserslautern blieb aber aktiv und suchte immer wieder den Weg nach vorne. Kaloc besorgte in der Nachspielzeit mit einem platzierten Schuss von der Strafraumgrenze für die erneute Führung des DFB-Pokalfinalisten.
Kiel kam schwungvoll aus der Kabine. Der eingewechselte Jann-Fiete Arp scheiterte aber per Kopf an Julian Krahl (53.). Der Torhüter der Gäste parierte auch gegen Bernhardsson stark (57., 73.). Ritter machte alles klar.
