Bestätigt: Eberl verlässt Borussia Mönchengladbach
Fußball-Bundesligist Borussia Mönchengladbach hat den Abschied seines langjährigen Sportdirektors Max Eberl bestätigt. Der 48-Jährige verlässt den Verein nach 23 Jahren als Spieler und Funktionär auf eigenen Wunsch.
Eberl war im Januar 1999 als Profi zur Borussia gekommen, im Oktober 2008 übernahm er den Posten des Sportdirektors und führte Gladbach dreimal in die Champions League. Eberl war nach Michael Zorc (Borussia Dortmund) und Rudi Völler (Bayer Leverkusen) dienstältester Manager der Bundesliga.
