Harlequins sign Argentina's Petti for 2025/26 season
Argentina international forward Guido Petti Pagadizabal will join Harlequins for the 2025/26 season from French club Bordeaux-Begles, the English Premiership side announced Wednesday
The 87-cap Los Pumas lock has made 62 appearances since joining last season's Top 14 finalists from Super Rugby outfit, Jaguares in 2020.
The 30-year-old, who can be deployed at second row or flanker, featured for Argentina in the 2015, 2019 and 2023 Rugby World Cups.
Petti is now set to join compatriot Rodrigo Isgro at Quins, whose Stoop ground is close to English rugby union's Twickenham headquarters.
"I'm excited to join Harlequins next season –- it's a club with a lot of history and a new challenge in the Premiership," said Petti in a Quins statement.
"Harlequins is an ambitious club with a strong squad, which I can't wait to join. I've heard a lot about the fantastic support of the club and I'm looking forward to playing in front of the supporters at the Stoop."
Harlequins coach Danny Wilson added: "Guido is a brilliant addition to our squad heading into next season –- his athleticism and ability at the line-out will strengthen our forward pack.
"Guido's approaching 100 caps for Argentina, which showcases his quality and ability to perform at the top level of the game. He'll also bring valuable leadership to the group, which is a huge asset."
Harlequins are currently sixth in the 10-team Premiership and still in the hunt for a top-four finish that would see them qualify for the title-deciding play-offs.
