Der fünfmalige Weltfußballer Cristiano Ronaldo (37) ist auf Instagram der einflussreichste Spieler, der an der WM-Endrunde in Katar (20. November bis 18. Dezember) teilnehmen wird. Das gab das Marktforschungsunternehmen Nielsen bekannt.
Der portugiesische Stürmerstar von Manchester United, der 483 Millionen Follower bei Instagram hat, rangiert vor Argentiniens Ass Lionel Messi und Frankreichs Weltmeister Kylian Mbappe (beide Paris St. Germain).
Für das Ranking nutzte das Unternehmen seine Plattform InfluenceScope, um die Gesamtzahl der Follower, das Follower-Wachstum, die Engagement-Rate und den durchschnittlichen Markenwert pro Post auf Instagram zu bewerten, um damit zu ermitteln, welche Spieler den größten Social-Media-Wert bieten. CR7 konnte bei der Anzahl seiner Instagram-Follower ein Wachstum von rund 47 Prozent im vergangenen Jahr verzeichnen.
