WM in Katar: Corona-Impfung für Fans nicht verpflichtend
Bei der Fußball-WM in Katar (20. November bis 18. Dezember) wird eine Corona-Impfung für die ins Land reisenden Fans nicht verpflichtend sein. Das gaben die zuständigen Behörden des Golfstaates am Donnerstag bekannt. "Personen, die nach Katar einreisen, müssen unabhängig von ihrem Impfstatus oder ihrem Herkunftsland keine Quarantäne durchlaufen", erklärten die Organisatoren.
Jedoch müssten alle Besucher, die älter als sechs Jahre sind, vor ihrer Abreise nach Katar einen negativen Test vorweisen. Zudem werde eine Maskenpflicht im öffentlichen Nahverkehr bestehen und jede Person, die sich mit dem Virus infiziert, "muss gemäß den Richtlinien des Ministeriums für öffentliche Gesundheit isoliert werden", so das katarische Gesundheitsministerium.
Die Organisatoren kündigten jedoch an, die Maßnahmen zu verschärfen, sollte es zu einer erhöhten Gefahr durch das Virus kommen.
