Der sechsmalige Weltfußballer Lionel Messi traf mit einem sehenswerten Freistoß zum 1:0, nachdem er vom Ex-Bundesligaprofi Dante zu Fall gebracht worden war (28.). In der zweiten Halbzeit kamen die Gäste aus Nizza besser ins Spiel und erzielten umgehend den Ausgleich - Gaetan Laborde traf aus kurzer Distanz (47.).
