Nürnberg holt Weinzierl als Klauß-Nachfolger
Fußball-Zweitligist 1. FC Nürnberg hat Markus Weinzierl als Trainer verpflichtet. Der frühere Bundesliga-Coach wird bereits im Heimspiel gegen Holstein Kiel am Sonntag (13.30 Uhr/Sky) auf der Bank sitzen. Das gaben die Franken am Dienstag bekannt.
Der 47-jährige Weinzierl war zum Ende der vergangenen Saison beim FC Augsburg zurückgetreten. Vor seiner zweiten Amtszeit beim FCA saß der frühere Profi auch beim VfB Stuttgart, Schalke 04 und Jahn Regensburg auf der Trainerbank.
Weinzierl beerbt Robert Klauß, der nach dem 0:3 beim Karlsruher SC am Sonntag von seinen Aufgaben entbunden worden war. Es war die vierte Pleite in den jüngsten fünf Spielen für den Club, der als Tabellen-14. nur zwei Punkte vor Schlusslicht Arminia Bielefeld weit hinter den eigenen Ansprüchen herhinkt.
