"Dürfen das genießen": Freiburg reitet Erfolgswelle weiter
Stürmer Nils Petersen vom Fußball-Bundesligisten SC Freiburg hat sich nach dem neunten Spiel in Folge ohne Niederlage mehr als zufrieden gezeigt. "Ich wusste, dass wir ganz gut sind. Man merkt es schon im Training, die Qualität steigt", sagte der 33-Jährige nach dem souveränen 2:0-Erfolg gegen den FC Nantes in der Europa League: "Aber dass wir so gut dastehen, in der Liga auf Platz zwei, im Pokal weiter und in der Europa League neun Punkte - das darf man auch mal ein Stück weit genießen."
Natürlich gehe es alle drei, vier Tage weiter, aber man dürfe sich nach solch einem Spiel auch mal "auf die Schulter klopfen", sagte Petersen. Bereits am Sonntag sind die Freiburger wieder in der Bundesliga bei Hertha BSC (17.30 Uhr/DAZN) gefordert.
Fraglich ist dabei der Einsatz von Michael Gregoritsch. Der Stürmer musste bereits nach knapp 20 Minuten verletzungsbedingt ausgewechselt werden. "Es gibt noch keine genaue Definition, was es ist", sagte Co-Trainer Patrick Baier, der Christian Streich (Corona) an der Seitenlinie vertreten hatte.
