Urteil in Prozess gegen ehemalige Sekretärin aus NS-Konzentrationslager Stutthof
Das Landgericht im schleswig-holsteinischen Itzehoe verkündet am Dienstag (10.00 Uhr) sein Urteil gegen eine frühere Sekretärin des NS-Konzentrationslagers Stutthof. Die Staatsanwaltschaft fordert wegen Beihilfe zum Mord in mehr als zehntausend Fällen eine Jugendstrafe von zwei Jahren Haft auf Bewährung. Die Verteidigung der inzwischen 97 Jahre alten Irmgard F. will dagegen einen Freispruch erreichen. Ihrer Mandantin habe nicht zweifelsfrei habe nachgewiesen werden können, dass sie von den systematischen Tötungen im Lager gewusst habe, argumentiert sie.
Im Lager Stutthof bei Danzig hielt die SS während des Zweiten Weltkriegs mehr als hunderttausend Menschen unter erbärmlichen Bedingungen gefangen, darunter viele Juden. Etwa 65.000 Menschen starben nach Erkenntnissen von Historikern. F. arbeitete laut Anklage in den Jahren 1943 bis 1945 als Stenotypistin für den Kommandanten, sie war damals zwischen 18 und 19 Jahre alt.
