Japan will den Export von Halbleiter-Komponenten künftig erschweren. 23 Komponenten für Chips sollen voraussichtlich ab Juli unter die Ausfuhrkontrolle fallen, wie die Regierung in Tokio am Freitag ankündigte. Wirtschaftsminister Yasutoshi Nishimura sagte, dies solle den "Missbrauch" zu militärischen Zwecken verhindern.
Betroffen sein werden rund zehn große japanische Unternehmen, wie die Nachrichtenagentur Jiji Press unter Berufung auf Regierungskreise berichtete. Darunter seien etwa Tokyo Electron oder Nikon.
Anfang des Monats hatte bereits die niederländische Regierung Exportbeschränkungen für Computerchip-Technologien angekündigt. Der Schritt galt als gegen China gerichtet. Die USA drängen ihre Partner bereits seit längerem dazu, den Zugang Chinas zur Chip-Technologie zu erschweren.
