Rennen um die beste KI: Amazon investiert vier Milliarden Dollar in Firma Anthropic
Im Rennen um den Zukunftsbereich Künstliche Intelligenz (KI) zwischen den großen Technologiefirmen hat der US-Konzern Amazon eine Milliardeninvestition in die KI-Firma Anthropic angekündigt. Amazon will nach eigenen Angaben vom Montag bis zu vier Milliarden Dollar (knapp 3,76 Milliarden Euro) in das Unternehmen mit Sitz in San Francisco investieren. So könnten "Kundenerfahrungen" verbessert werden.
Amazon übernimmt damit einen Minderheitsanteil an Anthropic. Das Unternehmen wiederum kann als Teil der Partnerschaft unter anderem das Cloud-Angebot von Amazon nutzen.
Anthropic hat mit "Claude" einen eigenen Chatbot, der als Konkurrenz zu dem bekannten Chatbot ChatGPT fungiert. Das Rennen um das beste KI-Angebot wird derzeit von den Konzernen Google und Microsoft. Auch aus China kommt Konkurrenz mit dort geschaffenen Chatbots.
