Sonda Voyager 1 transmite dados pela 1ª vez em cinco meses
A sonda Voyager 1, o objeto mais distante da Terra feito pelo ser humano, transmitiu dados legíveis pela primeira vez em cinco meses, informou a Nasa nesta segunda-feira (22).
A sonda, que está a cerca de 24 bilhões de quilômetros de distância, não enviava dados científicos e técnicos confiáveis desde novembro, disse a agência espacial dos Estados Unidos.
No entanto, as equipes da Nasa conseguiram continuar enviando comandos e a sonda, lançada há mais de 46 anos, continuou operando normalmente.
O problema foi causado por um chip de um dos computadores a bordo, responsável por formatar os dados científicos e técnicos antes de enviá-los para a Terra.
Finalmente, uma solução engenhosa foi encontrada e a Nasa pôde verificar o estado da nave pela primeira vez desde novembro.
Junto com a Voyager 2, as duas sondas são as únicas que viajaram pelo espaço interestelar. Elas carregam a bordo gravações de sons e imagens da Terra em placas de ouro e cobre.
