September smartphone calendar spans Apple, Poco, Vivo and Xiaomi
September's expected smartphone launches include confirmed models from Vivo, Infinix and Poco alongside reported Apple, Redmi, iQOO and Xiaomi releases.
Vivo will launch the T5 5G in India on September 2 with a 6.83-inch 1.5K 144Hz AMOLED display, Dimensity 7500 Turbo chip and 7,050mAh battery. Infinix follows with the Hot 70 Pro 5G+ on September 4. Poco's F9 Pro and F9 Ultra are due globally on September 1, with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chips and batteries reportedly reaching 8,050mAh on the Ultra.
Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and its first foldable iPhone Ultra on September 9, with sales reportedly beginning September 18. The Pro models are tipped to use A20 Pro chips built on TSMC's 2nm process, Apple's C2 modem and upgraded cameras.
Other expected releases include the Redmi Note 17 Pro series in India on September 15, the iQOO 16 and Vivo X500 family in China during September, and Xiaomi's 18 Pro line at the end of the month. Xiaomi has also scheduled the Xiaomi 18 Fold. Several specifications and dates remain based on reports rather than manufacturer confirmation.
