Von Papst Franziskus genutztes Auto ist Hauptgewinn einer Tombola in Panama
Einen ganz besonderen Hauptgewinn hat sich die katholische Kirche in Panama für eine von ihr veranstaltete Tombola ausgedacht: Dem glücklichen Gewinner winkt ein Auto, in dem Papst 2019 bei seinem Besuch in dem Land unterwegs war. Die Kirche hofft, 100.000 Lose für umgerechnet rund zehn Euro zu verkaufen.
Mit dem ausgelobten blauen Toyota Prius war der Papst im Januar 2019 beim mehrtägigen Weltjugendtag in Panama unterwegs, wenn er nicht das weiße Papamobil nutzte. "Das ist wirklich ein ganz spezielles Auto: In ihm saß der Papst", sagte am Donnerstag der Erzbischof von Panama-Stadt, José Domingo Ulloa. Und es sei auch nicht nur ein lohnender Hauptgewinn für Kirchengänger: "Das ist ein Auto für alle, nicht nur für Gläubige, denn es hat einen historischen Wert."
Mit der Tombola sollen Gelder für Hilfsprojekte der katholischen Kirche in Panama gesammelt werden. Wegen der Corona-Pandemie waren deren Einnahmen zuletzt deutlich zurückgegangen.
