Filmfestival in Cannes geht mit Verleihung der Goldenen Palme zu Ende
Das internationale Filmfestival in Cannes geht am Samstagabend (20.00 Uhr) mit der Verleihung der Goldenen Palme für den besten Film zu Ende. 21 Filme konkurrieren bei den 76. Festspielen an der Côte d'Azur um den Hauptpreis. Auch der deutsche Regie-Altmeister Wim Wenders kann sich nach seinem Erfolg 1984 mit "Paris, Texas" Hoffnungen auf eine weitere Goldene Palme machen. Er ging mit dem Film "Perfect Days" über einen feinsinnigen japanischen Putzmann in den Wettbewerb.
Die deutsche Schauspielerin Sandra Hüller hat Chancen auf den Preis als beste Darstellerin. Sie war gleich in zwei Hauptrollen im Wettbewerb zu sehen: als Nazigattin in Jonathan Glazers "The Zone of Interest" und als mutmaßliche Ehegattenmörderin in "Anatomy of a Fall" von Justine Triet. Außer vielen deutschen Filmschaffenden lockte das Festival dieses Jahr auch wieder viele Hollywood-Stars wie Leonardo DiCaprio und Michael Douglas an die Croisette. Den Vorsitz der diesjährigen Jury hat der schwedische Regisseur Ruben Östlund.
