Blinkende Powerbank löst in Wiesbaden Feuerwehreinsatz aus
Eine blinkende Powerbank hat in Wiesbaden einen Einsatz von Feuerwehr und Rettungsdienst ausgelöst. Grund dafür seien vermeintliche Morsezeichen gewesen, teilten die Einsatzkräfte am Mittwoch mit. Demnach kam es am Dienstagabend zu dem Einsatz im Stadtteil Schierstein. Anwohner hatten aus der Ferne im dritten Stock eines Bürogebäudes wiederkehrende Lichtsignale wahrgenommen.
Die wiederholt aufeinanderfolgenden drei kurzen und drei langen Signale interpretierten sie als Morsecode für die Buchstaben SOS, die international als Notsignal gebräuchlich sind. Sie riefen daraufhin den Notruf. Die Einsatzkräfte konnten sich Zugang zu den Räumen verschaffen. Jedoch befand sich dort niemand in Not. Das vermeintliche Morsesignal stammte von der LED-Taschenlampe einer Powerbank, die aus unklarer Ursache eingeschaltet worden war. Nach dem Ausschalten wurde der Einsatz beendet.
