Rund 2500 Hühner verenden bei Unfall von Tiertransporter in Niedersachsen
Rund 2500 Hühner sind bei einem Unfall eines Tiertransporters in Niedersachsen verendet. Der Fahrer des Sattelzugs blieb unverletzt, wie die Polizei in Rotenburg am Mittwoch mitteilte. Demnach ereignete sich der Unfall am Dienstagmorgen auf einer Bundesstraße. Der Fahrer kam ohne Fremdbeteiligung von der Fahrbahn ab und prallte gegen eine Schutzplanke sowie mehrere Baumkronen. Schließlich blieb das Fahrzeug neben der Fahrbahn stecken.
Von den rund 5000 geladenen Hühnern verendete noch vor Ort rund die Hälfte. Der Rest konnte gerettet und umgeladen werden. Für die Bergung musste die Bundesstraße zwischenzeitlich voll gesperrt werden, wie die Polizei erklärte.
