Japanischer Karatekämpfer treibt Bären mit Tritten in die Flucht
Mit dem Falschen angelegt haben sich zwei Braunbären in Japan: Ein 50-jähriger Karatesportler schlug die Raubtiere mit Karate-Tritten in die Flucht, wie Polizei und Medien am Donnerstag berichteten. Der Tourist Masato Fukuda aus der zentraljapanischen Region Aichi besuchte am Donnerstagmorgen einen Aussichtspunkt an einem Wasserfall auf der Insel Hokkaido, als plötzlich zwei Braunbären aus dem Gebüsch kamen, wie die Zeitung "Mainichi" berichtete.
Eines der Tiere kam bedrohlich auf Fukuda zu - dieser zögerte nicht lange und setzte seine Kampfsportkünste ein: "Ich dachte mir, ich sollte besser meine Karatetechnik nutzen, um nicht getötet zu werden", sagte der 50-Jährige einem Radiosender. Fukuda versetzte dem Bären zwei gezielte Tritte ins Gesicht. Zwar verrenkte er sich dabei das Bein, doch die Bären ergriffen die Flucht.
