EU-Kommission will Entlastung für Bauern vorschlagen
Unter dem Eindruck der jüngsten Bauernproteste will die EU-Kommission am Freitag Entlastungen für die Landwirte vorschlagen (Pk. gegen Mittag). Agrarkommissar Janusz Wojciechowski sagte am Donnerstag in seinem Heimatland Polen, er plane eine Abschwächung der Vorschriften unter dem EU-Klimaschutzprogramm Green Deal. Mit dem Vorzeigeprojekt von Kommissionspräsidentin Ursula von der Leyen soll Europa bis 2050 zur ersten klimaneutralen Region weltweit werden.
Bei den Grünen im Europaparlament stieß die Ankündigung auf scharfe Kritik. Ihr Agrarexperte Martin Häusling warnte die Kommission davor, die "Axt an die geplante und notwendige Ökologisierung der Landwirtschaft" zu legen. Bundeslandwirtschaftsminister Cem Özdemir (Grüne) hatte sich zuvor für einen geringeren Verwaltungsaufwand für Landwirte ausgesprochen und die EU-Agrarpolitik als "Bürokratiemonster" bezeichnet.
