Durchsuchungen bei Einsatz gegen Hasskriminalität in Berlin
In Berlin ist die Polizei am Mittwoch mit mehreren Durchsuchungen gegen Hasskriminalität vorgegangen. Wie die Beamten mitteilten, durchsuchten mehr als 60 Einsatzkräfte Wohnungen in verschiedenen Berliner Bezirken und beschlagnahmten Beweismittel. Dabei wurden sie teilweise auch von Spezialeinsatzkräften unterstützt. Koordiniert wurde der Einsatz von der Abteilung für Staatsschutz des Landeskriminalamts.
Die Durchsuchungen stehen den Angaben zufolge im Zusammenhang mit dem achten bundesweiten Aktionstag gegen Hasspostings. "Hatespeech ist keine freie Meinungsäußerung", erklärte die Polizei anlässlich des Einsatzes. Beleidigung, Volksverhetzung und rassistische Kommentare seien strafbar und würden verfolgt werden.
