Zahl gesprengter Geldautomaten in Deutschland auf neuem Höchststand
Die Zahl der gesprengten Geldautomaten in Deutschland ist 2022 einem Bericht zufolge auf einen neuen Höchststand gestiegen. Im vergangenen Jahr zählten die Polizeipräsidien 496 versuchte und vollendete Sprengungen, wie die "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung" in einer Mitteilung vom Donnerstag berichtete. Im Vergleich zu 2021 bedeutete das einen Anstieg um 27 Prozent. Damals hatte es 392 Fälle gegeben.
Bisheriger Jahresrekord war 2020 mit 414 Fällen. Laut Bundeskriminalamt explodierten 2022 bis zu fünf Geldautomaten in einer Nacht. Ein Rückgang der Zahlen für 2023 zeichne sich bisher nicht ab.
