Geiselnahme in Apotheke in Karlsruher Innenstadt beendet
Die Geiselnahme in einer Apotheke in der Karlsruher Innenstadt ist am Freitagabend beendet worden. Wie die Polizei im Kurzbotschaftendienst Twitter mitteilte, wurde die Apotheke in der Südweststadt um 21.10 Uhr "von einer Spezialeinheit der Polizei betreten". Dabei wurde demnach ein männlicher Tatverdächtiger festgenommen.
Das Gebäude werde untersucht, erklärte die Polizei. Nach vorläufigen Erkenntnissen sei niemand verletzt worden, hieß es weiter.
Wegen des Polizeieinsatzes war der Bereich um die Apotheke in der Ettlinger Straße weiträumig abgesperrt worden. Die Polizei war mit einem Großaufgebot vor Ort. Für Anwohner, die Aufgrund der Absperrung nicht in ihre Wohnungen konnten, wurde eine nahegelegene Schule geöffnet. Die Polizei hatte mehrmals versichert, es bestehe keine Gefahr für die Bevölkerung.
