Mann mit Maschinenpistolen und Munition in Auto in Nordrhein-Westfalen erwischt
Ein 42 Jahre alter Autofahrer ist von der Polizei in Nordrhein-Westfalen mit elf Maschinenpistolen und mehreren tausend Schuss Munition auf der Autobahn 44 bei Soest erwischt worden. Die Waffen und die Munition wurden beschlagnahmt, wie die Polizei in Dortmund am Mittwoch mitteilte. Gegen den Mann wird ermittelt. Vorgeworfen werden ihm Verstöße gegen das Kriegswaffenkontrollgesetz und das Sprengstoffgesetz.
Demnach wurde der Fahrer am Dienstag auf der A44 bei Soest während einer großangelegten Kontrollaktion aus dem Verkehr gezogen. Im Kofferraum des Autos fanden die Beamten neben den Maschinenpistolen und 6800 Schuss Munition auch vier Pistolen und 192.000 Zündhütchen. Waffen, Munition und Zubehör waren neu verpackt.
Der Mann hatte gegenüber den Beamten zunächst verneint, Waffen im Auto mitzuführen. Mit vorgelegten Dokumente konnte der 42-Jährige den Kauf der Waffen in den Niederlanden belegen. Nachweise für einen legalen Transport in Deutschland konnte er nicht vorlegen.
