Polizei entdeckt Cannabisplantage mit mehr als tausend Pflanzen in Recklinghausen
In Recklinghausen hat die Polizei eine große Cannabisplantage in einer alten Gewerbehalle entdeckt. Es seien mehr als tausend Pflanzen beschlagnahmt worden, teilten die Polizei in der nordrhein-westfälischen Stadt und die Staatsanwaltschaft in Bochum am Montag mit. Zwei Tatverdächtige im Alter von 40 und 43 Jahren wurden festgenommen. Der 40-Jährige kam in Untersuchungshaft.
Der Hinweis auf die Plantage kam aus der Bevölkerung. Demnach meldete ein Zeuge der Polizei am Freitag starken Cannabisgeruch aus der Betriebshalle. Bei einer Durchsuchung vor Ort entdeckten die Beamten Hanfpflanzen, geerntete Pflanzenteile und Anbauequipment. Sämtliche Beweise wurden beschlagnahmt.
Beide Tatverdächtige aus Recklinghausen stehen im Verdacht des illegalen Anbaus von Betäubungsmitteln. Der Haftbefehl des 43-Jährigen wurde außer Vollzug gesetzt, er muss sich regelmäßig bei der Polizei melden. Die genaue Zahl der entdeckten Pflanzen stand noch nicht abschließend fest.
