Mann nach rasanter Verfolgungsjagd in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern festgenommen
Die Polizei in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern hat nach einer Verfolgungsjagd einen Autofahrer festgenommen. Die Beamten hielten das Fahrzeug am Freitagabend im Ort Pensin nördlich von Neubrandenburg zu einer Verkehrskontrolle an, wie die Polizei am Samstag mitteilte. Daraufhin habe der Fahrer Gas gegeben und sei über Felder und Ackerwege davongerast.
Während der Verfolgungsfahrt stellten die Beamten eigenen Angaben zufolge fest, dass der 27-Jährige bereits per Haftbefehl gesucht wurde. Auf der Flucht wurde das Auto dann so stark demoliert, dass es zum Stehen kam. Der Mann flüchtete laut Polizei zu Fuß weiter, konnte aber schließlich festgenommen werden. Ein Polizist wurde bei dem Einsatz leicht verletzt.
Bei der Festnahme stellte sich dann heraus, dass die am Auto angebrachten Kennzeichen nicht zum Fahrzeug gehörten und dieses weder zugelassen noch versichert war. Auch einen Führerschein hatte der Mann nicht. Zudem habe er "unter dem Einfluss von Betäubungsmitteln" gestanden. Der Mann wurde nach Abschluss der polizeilichen Maßnahmen der Justiz übergeben. Gegen ihn wurde ein Ermittlungsverfahren eingeleitet, auch der bereits bestehende Haftbefehl wurde ausgeführt.
